Inauguration

I watched the inauguration this year! The first time ever! I voted for the other guy, but I am proud of my country for showing the black community that there are a lot of us that don't look at race. The inauguration was very interesting, though, from the crazy opening and closing prayers, the beautiful music that was pre-recorded, and the oops with the actual swearing in moment. I can say that this was my very favorite part of the whole day...

At the end when Beyonce gets all choked up, Jesus asked me why she was crying. I put myself in her shoes...to be a black woman and sing for the first black President. What an honor!

Crawling

When Jesus and I first got married, we bought Daisy the dog.  Daisy was very rambunctious and so much so that she fell off of our two story deck in our apartment.  The poor thing had to go get a cast on her leg.  She would crawl around with her leg out straight to her side.  I share this because my poor daughter crawls like she is a dog with a cast on...

My Little Dancer

Jasmine has started to dance already. We noticed it about a month ago or so, when music would come on. She'll start to bounce to the music. Here is a video of her dancing to Beyonce. She just does this when there's music on, and she stays with the beat most of the time...

Differences between Jasmine and Jesus

Little Jasmine has taken a liking to food that is just INCREDIBLE! She will eat anything and usually screams at you until you give her whatever you're eating...even if it's definitely not a baby food. She is just the happiest kid on the block with any type of food in her mouth, in her hands and on her hair...

Jesusito is different all together. He loves his bottles like no other...notice the plural form. Yes, he ALWAYS has to have TWO bottles...not both full, but has to have two. Tonight he fell asleep hugging them both like a baby would a teddy bear...I don't know where he gets it.:) Anything in liquid form, he loves. Here are pictures of him making snow into a liquid form in his mouth...:)

This last picture is a way cute picture of him and you may think it shows his personality. This is actually a picture of him eating snow off of the stairs and this pose is "whatcha gonna do about it, mommy?"

So I sent this picture to my sister Jennifer a couple of weeks ago.  It is one of my favorite pictures of Jasmine.  She sent me back a reply of "That is the cutest picture of Little Jesus that I have ever seen!"  I thought that was hilarious!

Food, Glorious Food!

Jasmine has recently realized that she LOVES food!  She is a picky Gerber eater, however.  She hates pureed fruit and will only eat vegi's.  She loves all kind of junk food, though, so I don't think it's the sweet flavor that she doesn't like.  Here she is eating some junk food...

Humidifiers and Jesusito

So we bought Jesusito a humidifier for his bedroom, and we thought we'd be the coolest parents around by buying one that looked like a fish tank.  The back part of the humidifier is the actual humidifier and the front is a small, fake fish tank, with fake fish, even.  The poor little fake fish...can you tell that he's trying to get them out with a spoon?  

Yes, this might look bad, but about 5 minutes later I found the fish tank full of cotton balls...all 200 of them.:)  I'm so glad we don't have real fish.
