Happy Easter everyone!

Even though Easter was this past Sunday, I just saw this and thought it was a great way to remember the reason of Easter.  I hope it was great for everyone!

I am sick to my stomach...

This morning my sister e-mailed me and let me know that Big Love, a series on HBO, will be showing a sacred Temple ceremony inside of an LDS Temple, the religion that I belong to.  I am so sad that it's taking place, and I'm not going to let it happen without me taking a stand!  If you would like to, as well, here's what you can do.  I've posted my sisters e-mail so that all the links and info is there.

On March 15, the HBO series “Big Love” will air LDS temple scenes from an endowment room, the celestial room and show the ceremonies that happen there.  This is outrageous to me that they’re doing this on television.  I am going to email HBO and the FCC later tonight.  I still expect them to air the episode but I want them to know that it’s wrong.

http://www.tvguidemagsales.com/WeeklyIssues/TVG030909.pdf - page 48 where TV Guide publishes a picture of one of the actors in temple clothes.

Also, what’s sad to me is that Tom Hanks is one of the producers for them.  I’ve always REALLY liked Tom Hanks but I don’t think that I’ll be able to watch any of his stuff anymore.

Below is info that was forwarded to me on who to contact:

HBO is owned by Time Warner:
Time Warner Inc
.
One Time Warner Center
New York , NY10019-8016
212.484.8000

http://www.hbo.com/apps/submitinfo/contactus/submit.do?title=GeneralInformation&questiontype=generalInformation&questiontype=general

Here are two things your want to RESPECTFULLY say in your own words to HBO:

-I believe it is wrong for HBO to publicly air portions of sacred ceremonies of
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints without permission  from the
church and based on information given you by someone who has left the church and
may harbor bad feelings toward the church and wish to do it harm.

AND THE BIG ONE THAT WILL ALWAYS GET THEIR ATTENTION:

- If you air such an episode, I will cancel my subscription to all HBO channels
(if you have them), and will not purchase HBO DVDs or any other HBO
entertainment products or packages ever again.  Furthermore, I will encourage my
friends and associates to do likewise.

ANOTHER IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN DO:

The FCC is the government agency that regulates all broadcast and cable
television
.  File a complaint expressing your shock and dismay at HBO treating
the sacred ceremonies of any religion with such mockery and disregard, and that
it is shoddy work hiring excommunicated members/enemies of church and giving
them a public pulpit to hurt the church.

To File a complaint with the FCC go to:

http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm

-Choose "Broadcast (TV and Radio), Cable, and Satellite Issues" and
then click "NEXT."

-Choose "Broadcast programs showing obscene, profane, and/or indecent
material" then click "NEXT."

- Click on "ONLINE FORM"  Fill out the form with your complaint and
submit.

To My Beloved Readers...

I am so sorry that I haven't blogged in awhile.  Unfortunately my computer has the flu and it passed it on to my camera and my scanner.  It's a bummer, I know.   So until I get rich and Jesus decides to by me a Mac, I won't be blogging as often.  I like to show my cute kids in all of my blogs and when I can't do that I get depressed.:)  They're just too darn cute!

So, my fellow friends, I'm sure this blogging thing will start back up in a month, or so.  No, I won't be rich by then, but maybe I can get Jesus to understand how essential a mac is.:)

Vegas!

Jesus had to go to Vegas last week because of work and I told him that there was no way that he was going to go without me, so I packed up the kids and caught a ride with him.  I'm so glad we did...I needed a vacation!

I generally do not like Vegas at all!  I think that there is a cloud of sin that hovers over the city...there's porn everywhere and that just disgusts me beyond anything!  I wasn't excited to take my k
ids into that, but I figured we could find some fun things to do while their dad was at work.

As you can tell in this first picture, we found Jesusito's favorite cartoon in the whole world...his first word was Spongebob...no, just kidding.:)

We stayed in the Luxor and throughout the whole hotel there were amazing Egyptian statues that were fun for us to see and to pose with.:)

I think my favorite part, though, was the outings that I took with the kids.  The first day we went to the Shark Reef and Jesusito said "wow" more than one can count.  He loved it!  We saw fish and shark, of course, but there was also a huge octopus, star fish, an alligator, a huge lizard...all sorts of things!  It was great!

As many of you know, I absolutely love dolphins!  We were able to go see the dolphins and tigers in the Mirage...I loved it!  The dolphins there aren't trained for shows, but they are trained throughout the day, so you can see them interact with the trainers.  It was really neat!  They have a baby dolphin there and they are currently training him.  I swear, that would be the best job!

We also went and saw the tigers and lions.  What beautiful animals!  They had all sorts of animals there, and of course Jesusito said "wow" more than one can count.  It was fantastic!

I guess I didn't get the whole head in this shot, but it's of a tiger made out of moss of some sort.  It looks like Jesusito is petting the tiger, but he's really pulling out the moss...Oh my!

So, needless to say, I now don't hate Vegas.:)

Inauguration

I watched the inauguration this year! The first time ever! I voted for the other guy, but I am proud of my country for showing the black community that there are a lot of us that don't look at race. The inauguration was very interesting, though, from the crazy opening and closing prayers, the beautiful music that was pre-recorded, and the oops with the actual swearing in moment. I can say that this was my very favorite part of the whole day...

At the end when Beyonce gets all choked up, Jesus asked me why she was crying. I put myself in her shoes...to be a black woman and sing for the first black President. What an honor!

Crawling

When Jesus and I first got married, we bought Daisy the dog.  Daisy was very rambunctious and so much so that she fell off of our two story deck in our apartment.  The poor thing had to go get a cast on her leg.  She would crawl around with her leg out straight to her side.  I share this because my poor daughter crawls like she is a dog with a cast on...
